Mailing party - Salinas Rodeo demo - AFA calendar

Three things:

 

1. Could use some help tomorrow (Saturday, July 10), 1-5pm. We're

doing a mailing re a fundraiser for Assembly Member Loni Hancock on

August 8. Mailing will include a flyer on the upcoming West Coast

Premiere of " Peaceable Kingdom. " Mailing party will be at Margaret

2. Rodeo demo at California Rodeo/Salinas, Saturday, July 17, 11:30am-

2:00pm. Bodies needed. Yours? INFO: Alfredo Kuba, 650/965-8705; Judy

Jones, 831/286-5204; Eric Mills, 510/652-5603. (Five animals were

killed at this PRCA rodeo in 1995. And earlier this year these same

folks tried (unsuccessfully) to put on a so-called " bloodless

bullfight. " ) They need to hear from us. AFA will be running an

anti-rodeo ad (twice) in next week's SALINAS CALIFORNIAN newspaper.
