Guest guest
Hi folks... The San Francisco Bay Area vegetarian community is one of the strongest around! It's great to be able to share information online, and continue the discussions when we meet in person. For folks who are new to the community, or even those who post regularly, I would encourage you to sign your post... it makes the email a bit more personal and allows people to get to know you. When people post to the list anonymously, and there's a question or request for help involved, I am not surprised to later find out that no one responded. If you are new to the area, and want to hook up with other veggie folks, I'd suggest attending local events... Bay Area Vegetarians usually has 6-8 events a month, and other groups also have several events a month. The next BAV event is Sean's monthly 2nd Tuesday dinner at BayLeaf Cafe in Palo Alto. We literally take over the restaurant and everyone is chatting and eating and having good fun. We're a loud, laughing group but because we literally take all the seats in the place, I don't feel that we are disrupting other diners. And, my #1 tip for folks who want to meet other people -- organize an event! Everyone always wants to meet the event organizer, to thank them for organizing, and it's one of the best ways to meet other people. I have met so many wonderful people that way. Cheers, Tammy Perform a death-defying act...
