Guest guest Posted July 5, 2004 Report Share Posted July 5, 2004 Our "Bite The Dust" Field Trip to Farm Sanctuary yesterday was wonderful, inspiring and touching! Actual hands on with those beautiful animals is so refreshing...pictures do not do these magnificent creatures justice. To be up close with a wide eyed cow or a crusty hog is the reward for the 2 hour drive. Inside tip: Also put them down for Thanksgiving Dinner.... the Chef from Sparks will be catering!!! In talking with Michelle Woffner (usually at the new York Farm Sanctuary) She said they could use Walkie Talkies there...I asked why don't they have them, she hinted at not having the budget for it... I told her I would put the word out for that and see if someone would like to donate them. They literally trek from barn to barn, to complete a task or message to another worker or intern.
