In other mainstream food news, Quiznos just announced 5 new salads - all

for Carnivores! Does this suck or what?

Oh, yeah, the have a juicy, succulent, Side Garden Salad, for those who eat

consciously with the deluxe ingredients of:

 

Red and green peppers, red onion, special recipe salad blend, cherry

tomatoes and your choice of dressing.

 

They have 24 sandwiches - of which one is vegetarian (it has cheese).

 

Quiznos gets the big "Thumbs Down!" Guess - it's time for Togos - which,

from memory, have at least 3-4 veg sandwiches.

 

I'm going to start a email campaign encouraging a more veg-friendly

selection at Quiznos - may need your help!

All the fast food places are jumping on the Atkins/low-carb

bandwagon. Somehow it has gotten into Americans' brains that a salad

topped with chicken breast is the healthiest meal one could hope for.

Very sad.

I do like Togo's hummus sandwich. When I get the boring

" Veggie Delight " at Subway, I am always hungry again pretty

soon afterwards.
