Guest guest
Hey Everybody, It's time for another movie night and veggie dinner!!!! On Wednesday, June 16, join old and new friends for a quick dinner at Golden Era at 5:50pm. If it's your first time at one of my events just look for my famous fuzzy red scarf. Then, at 7:20pm or so we'll stroll up the street (5 blocks) to the AMC 1000 Van Ness and see the 7:35pm showing of " The Day After Tomorrow. " Eye popping disaster movie entertainment with some political overtones -- should be an entertaining and thought-provoking film. Please be sure to RSVP to me No Later Than Tuesday, June 15 if you plan to join us so I know who to expect and if we need reservations. Golden Era, 572 O'Farrell Street (near Leavenworth.) We'll just order a few things and split the cost, hopefully under $10 each. To get to the theater just follow me. The best way to get to Golden Era is by public transport, take the #38 bus to Leavenworth and stroll down to O'Farrell in case you're not already on that street. Coming by BART just get off at Embarcadero, go out the southeasternmost exit and catch the 38 at Fremont street. The 38 actually starts from the transbay terminal so if you use AC Transit's transbay service that's another way. Email me for Caltrain directions or specifics from other parts of town. (another way to get there is the #27 muni.) This is an official Bay Area Vegetarians event; see their website at http://www.bayareaveg.org Carpooling is also a possibility, see the BAV carpooling forum: http://www.bayareaveg.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=23 Looking forward to seeing y'all. Dave G. dg2222 ps: Looks like quite an interesting summer of classic movies across the bay at the Paramount, too.
