Guest guest
Hi to all the Bay Area vegetarians! I'm beth, I've been a vegetarian since birth (my family is), and a vegan since 1998, for both health and ethical reasons. I'm 31, and currently teaching and writing my doctoral dissertation. Besides saying hello, I'm writing to spread the word about a vegetarian co-op housing situation a couple friends and I are putting together in the East Bay, more specifics below, and please feel free to forward the announcement below to friends who might be interested. -------------------- Seeking 2-3 housemates for a Vegetarian Cooperative Housing Arrangement (will likely be 4-7 people total). We're still planning and looking at housing options, but would like to find interested people now. Start date: Around August 1st, 10 month to one year lease. Location: Berkeley or Oakland Rent range: $450-600 per person/bedroom, less if you want to share a bedroom. Pets: 2 cats are already in the mix, others negotiable depending on compatibility We're creating a meat-free household, vegans and/or people interested in gardening and composting--- yay! We're seeking people who are financially and personally responsible, socially conscious (queer- friendly, anti-racist a must!) and ideally --- involved in progressive/left education, advocacy, or activism. We're potentially planning communal cooking (8-10 meals per week?) and some communal shopping, and would like to minimize household use of any products that are not environmentally safer --- toxins, chemicals and strong perfumes = bad. No smoking, hard drugs, or pornography. Interested vegetarians, please write to us at: cooperatively ---
