Hi friends,

I am writing to ask for volunteers that can help at VeggieFest. Veggie Fest

is a day of fun, good food and learning. The event is June 19th, in San

Francisco (Franklin & Geary). So mark your calendars for that date, and

visit the website for more details.

Better than attending, however, is being a volunteer. Volunteers are the

backbone of most events and critical to their success. So, if you can spare

a few hours, we would be grateful! Volunteering is a great way to meet

other like-minded folks and to support the local veg community.

The shifts are 10:30 to 1:00 or 1:00 to 4:00.. or you can supersize and

volunteer all day!

So if you have an extra three or six hours on Sat. 6/19, come help us with

VeggieFest. This event will be free to the public, and we really could use

support from the local veg community to help make it run smoothly.

Volunteering is all about having fun while working for a good cause, and I

think VeggieFest will be a rewarding experience. How can it not be when the

person organizing volunteers is so GQ ... yes, the one and only Gabe Quash,

and local host of San Francisco's VeganTV....

To give you an idea of what the volunteer tasks are:

- Greeter at the front door welcoming and giving out programs

- Usher at the speaking room

- Video Manager(s) -- responsible for the videos and playing them.

- People to help with cooking

- Random floating volunteers (I've been told that Gabe may be providing

guide wires)

How to volunteer:

Send an email to Gabe (gabequash) with your name, email address,

and any time preference (or if you can be flexible on the timing, that is

even better)

So, if you are interested, or know someone who is interested, or can share

this email with other appropriate mailing lists, please do so! Let's get

the word out! We need about 30 volunteers, so please flood Gabe with

responses. And I mean you!! :-)

Thanks!
