HEARING ON WILD ANIMAL ORDINANCE - Alameda Board of Supes - Tuesday, May 18

I WANT YOUR BODIES!

 

Thanks if you wrote (and shame on ya, if you didn't), but I really need

people at the hearing tomorrow, 11:00 a.m., 1221 Oak Street, 5th floor

(between 12th & 13th Streets), Oakland, in the Alameda County

Administration. The hearing is before the Board of Supervisors' " Fair

Liaison Committee, " comprised of Supervisors Scott Haggerty (Pleasanton)

and Keith Carson (Oakland). THAT'S WHY IT'S SO IMPORTANT THAT PEOPLE

FROM SUPERVISOR HAGGERTY'S DISTRICT BE IN ATTENDANCE.

 

You'll not be able to speak, unfortunately. We are being given only l0

minutes total, and I have three speakers lined up, all with credentials.

 

BUT PUBLIC SUPPORT IS CRITICAL IF WE'RE TO SWAY THE BOARD'S OPINION, SO

PLEASE BE THERE FOR THE ANIMALS. I've sent out about 30 Press Releases

to TV, radio and print media, so we need a crowd, and there was an

article in today's OAKLAND TRIBUNE. And Gary Bogue (CC TIMES) ran a

piece this past Sunday.

 

Please call/e-mail me TONIGHT to confirm that you'll be there. And call

a few friends to do likewise, won't you? I think we can win this one,

but we need to make a good show. You'll be on your best behavior, or

course.....
