About Green Festivals

Green Festivals is a movement building event. Our intent is to diffuse an economic model based on life affirming values, an economy built on human rights, equity, art and an understanding that all life is interconnected and interdependent. The most important outcome of these events for us is to get more people involved in the green economy movement. These events are so ecologically expensive, no matter what efforts we take toward sustainability, that the only way we can offset our footprint is by helping facilitate opportunities, networks and connections that strengthen organizations, new businesses or inspire individuals to find more ways to make a difference. This is an amazing time of transformation from a life destroying to a life affirming culture. We hope that as part of this transformation, Green Festivals is a catalyst helping to chart a course through the reorganization of our economy so that we can heal our biosphere and nurture all communities, all people, all species.

Dear Animal Advocacy Groups:

 

The Green Festivals are a perfect place to have an animal rights presence. There will be two Green Festival events this year one in Washington, DC September 18-19 and one in San Francisco, November 6-7. 19,464 ticketed attendees...plus exhibitors, volunteers etc. passed through the San Francisco Concourse last year. It was massive.

 

A small group of us in the Bay Area have reserved a booth at the San Francisco event for a cost of $550 (booth rates range from $550-$2500 for the two day event.) East Bay Animal Advocates has made a donation toward this booth and we are inviting others to join us. If you are an animal rights/advocacy group and would like to share the expense of a booth at the SF Green Festival please contact me.

 

Also, if you have an excellent public speaker in your organization please submit a request to speak. We need our voices to be included in the event agenda. If not this year then next!
