Street TV Activist Event at Powell and Market 5-7-04

Every first Friday of the month will be Bay Area

Vegetarians monthly leafleting and video showing at

Powell and Market Street from 7:30 to 10:00 pm.

The first event will be this Friday, May 7th.

 

Tourist season is in full swing and we will be

educating passersby about the cruelty of factory

farming and the alternative of a veg*n diet. We will

be showing the video " Meet Your Meat " (an Alec Baldwin

narrated PETA documentary about factory farming, see

http://www.meetyourmeat.com ) and handing out literature

(will be provided). Many passersby watch the video and

some are deeply affected.

 

Volunteers are needed to hand out literature and talk

to viewers that have questions. Folks who are

new to activism are very welcome; we will make sure that

everyone is

comfortable with their assignment. Please RSVP to me if you
