Seems there's a growing backlash since John Burton's efforts to ban foie gras. As for Unterman's comment at the end, she clearly anticipates people's consciences being sparked by her article since foie gras is notoriously cruel, but she tries to dismiss it as just another factorty-farming practice (which she says "we should all think twice about" as she orders a second helping of foie gras). In fact, none of the other foods she mentions are produced through the obscenely cruel force-feeding process, and none have been banned in over a dozen countries like foie gras has Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Before our investigation came out (www.APRL.org), she wrote a piece for the Examiner completely misrepresenting how foie gras is produced.
