Contact: Bay Area Vegetarians [events]

On April 1st, please join Bay Area Vegetarians for a screening of this wonderful new film, "The Emotional World of Farm Animals", at the Artists' Television Access, 992 Valencia Street (near 21st), SF

Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson’s latest book, The Pig Who Sang to the Moon, is a groundbreaking work that explores the emotional lives of pigs, cows, chickens, sheep, goats, and ducks. In both the book and its companion piece, the documentary film "The Emotional World of Farm Animals", Masson learns about and develops relationships with animals most often ignored—except when they’re being eaten. As he shares his new knowledge and insights with us, it’s easy to understand his affection for these animals—and his conviction that we must change the horrendous reality most of them live.

Doors open at 7:30, film starts at 8:00 pm, $5 admission

If you're already vegetarian or vegan, please bring a meat-eating friend to this film. FYI, there is no graphic footage in this film. It is suitable for audiences of all ages.

ATA is across the street from Herbivore; we hope to organize a dinner prior to the film screening, but will wait to confirm that they have re-opened.
