Nora William Rivas-Rivas [WilliamR]Monday, February 23, 2004 7:43 AMundisclosed-recipients:PETA demonstration in San FranciscoImportance: High Dear Activist, Hello, this is William Rivas-Rivas, campaign coordinator at PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and I am writing to invite you to join us at a vegetarian demonstration at the opening of the movie, The Passion of the Christ, this Wednesday, February 25th at the Sony Metreon Theater on Fourth Street in San Francisco. The film is a graphic depiction of the suffering endured by Jesus in the last 12 hours of His life and is guaranteed to attract great crowd and large numbers of people of faith. As movie-goers, especially people of faith, watch the film we want them to think about the awfulness of violence and of innocent suffering so we will be passing out Vegetarian Starter Kits and Christianity and Vegetarianism leaflet to people as they enter the movie. We want everyone to show mercy to the weakest, most powerless and vulnerable among us—animals. We want to promote compassion and mercy to animals by going vegetarian. Our demonstration will take this Wednesday, February 25th at the Sony Metreon Theater, 101 Fourth Street, from 6pm sharp to 7pm. We’ll have banners and posters for you to hold and leaflets for you to distribute…all you need to bring is yourself, and please plan to arrive about 10 minutes early. We hope to have a great turnout of folks speaking out for the animals abused and exploited in factory farms and slaughterhouses. If you’d like any more information about the demonstration, please feel free to e-mail me at WilliamR or phone me at 757-622-7382, ext. 8265. We hope you can make it to the protest! For more information about how animals suffer in factory farms and slaughterhouses, please visit our web site www.GoVeg.com. Thank you for all you do for animals. William R.
