Hi folks,

Luna bars have come up a few times on the list recently and just thought I'd add my two cents into the discussion about them...

I love them! They're ideal for me because they have a relatively long shelf-life, so I can keep them as an 'emergency' food source for those occasions when I need an extra burst of energy OR something happens and I'm delayed and there's nothing else to eat.

I usually have one or two in my desk at work, and when I go hiking on the weekends or know I'll be away from home for a long time, I'll throw one in my purse. Of course, I also travel with organic apples & bananas, and I keep a stash of organic baby carrots in the frig at work, too.

So, for the Luna bar fans, if you have a Costco membership or know someone who does, they sell a box of 3 assorted flavors there and it works out to be 85 cents each, which is cheaper than even Trader Joe's.

OH. Costco also sells the refrigerated Silk (half-gallon sizes) -- 3 containers, or 1.5 gallons total, for $6. That's an incredible price, much cheaper than our local grocery store sells it.

Cheers,

Tammy
