Guest guest
Although I would NEVER eat at McDonald's even if they cooked their vegan food on vegan grills, I do think it's not so bad they will offer veg burgers as a mental " seed " for CHILDREN so that they realize there's an option. I just got from 5 days with 168 kids 5th graders at Outdoor Ed. These kids were from Daly City, Redwood City, and Pacifica (predominantly Filipino and Latino children) . Many of the naturalists are veg or vegan and it was, no doubt, the first exposure these kids had to veg'n adults. Of course, many didn't understand and said " eating animals in natural " or " God put animals... " Now, naturalists at Outdoor Ed (the veg ones) didn't make an issue out of eating veg or eating meat in terms of academic learning but they did offer a vegetarian or vegan meal for veg kids and it was well noted by the children that some people don't eat meat. So, as much as I detest McD's, it's just another step towards mainstreaming veg'nism. Amy
