I am and I am going to check out a cooking class on February 16, 2004, 7:00 pm, Sur La Table, Berkeley, CA. The class presented by Eric Tucker, chef from Millennium demonstrating how to prepare several vegan dishes, how to create healthy menus, and how to use vegan ingredients and cooking techniques. The menu for the class will be Beet Coriander Cakes with Pomegranate Roasted Eggplant, Saffron, Sea Palm and Fennel Soup with Wild Mushrooms, Root Vegetable Beggars Purses and Apple Pomegranate Sauce. This is an audience class with a mirror above the chef s! o you can see the preparation as he goes along. I spoke with the Berkeley staff and they said that there is usually a lot of audience question and answer time. We also get to sample the finished menu. The cost is $60 per person and you register at 1-866-328-5412. If you would like to gather before the class, there is a Peets Coffee Shop across the street from Sur Le Table where we can meet at 6:30 pm. Please email me at Barbara_from_berkeley. Although it is not required, I would like to ask folks to come fragrance free to this event because I have allergies to fragrance. It will give me a chance to meet you all and socialize allergy free.
