Guest guest Posted January 29, 2004 Report Share Posted January 29, 2004 Hello Everybody, Not sure how many of you already know this, but there's a great booth at the Berkeley Farmers Market every Saturday called "Flacos" that serves mui delicioso vegan food at very reasonable prices. The menu varies, but it's generally very tasty Mexican dishes that involve pseudo chicken...my mouth is actually watering right now. It's nice to grab lunch, wander around listening to music and browsing the produce. Anyway, just a heads up to check it out sometime when you are in Berkeley on a Saturday. Seems like they are just getting their name out and I wanted to support them in their outreach efforts. The farmer's market is on Central between Milvia and MLK...not sure of the hours. I went on Saturday and they had a tamale lunch that was just great. It came with vegan hot chocolate, which really hit the spot because the day was rather chilly. It's nice to see a local vegan start up a business that takes off, and I hope that this one will continue to grow. If you want to find out when they'll be at the Farmers Market and what they'll be serving, send them an e-mail at miflacos. They'll put you on their mailing list.
