Guest guest
Reggae Runnins Village Store & Restaurant V * 505 Divisadero St 415-922-2442 Last week they offerred a Living Foods Menu. I had the tropical pie, made with FRESH mango, papaya, and strawberries with sunflower seed crust - tastes great. A large slice costed $3.25 includes tax and tip is optional. They have wraps, wheat grass juice etc.. (amazing) Non-Living Foods: They have the best $3 - Mango Lassi I ever had. The secret is she uses fresh mangos. Their Veg Gumbo, filled with okra (daily special) was great, especially when you add Empress Sarah's homemade pepper sauce. Sarah said she wants to spend more time on many projects since as bottling her pepper sauce for sale. Next week, vegan Chef Kemal will be working there and will serve his sandwiches and pastries. (He's out from hiding again. He was the chef of ex-Organica) Kemal will create new (probably vegan) menu for the restaurant. I think the entire place is vegan. The only thing I don't like about this place is the smell of incense which is not to my taste. Juicy Lucy used to burn incense all the time in her store, but, she now stopped, maybe the customers didn't like it either. -- Rice Chef, 329 Kearney/Sutter serves a few veg Japanese items. Can someone verify for me if the place is still open? On 3XX Kearney, cross street Sutter (same side of the street as Rice Chef), I saw a Chinese steam table place that serves 12 premade veg items at 31 cents per oz. I'm shocked to see so many veg selection available in a busy downtown SF restaurant. Can someone email to me privately and tell me if the food is good? Any MSG? -- Herbivore on Valencia is currently going thru an ENTIRE face lift. It will not re-open until after mid-February (the earliest). When it opens, the restaurant will have the proper kitchen/equipment to serve breakfast. signature: http://www.bayareaveg.org /http://www.vegdining.comhttp://www.sfvs.orgLiving Foods: SFLivingFoods/due to my high amount of emails, I am unable to answer everyone's emails on vegetarian questions.
