Hi Everyone and Happy New Year!

We wanted to remind you of a very unique and fun opportunity to help animals

right here in your community.

Did you know that domestic rabbits are easily as intelligent, loving and

sensitive as cats and dogs? Most rabbits can learn their names, be trained to

use

a litter box, and love to play with bunny toys.

Rabbits are also one of the few companion animals who are regularly eaten and

experimented on. They can be easily bought at pet stores, and are abandoned

at animal shelters in record numbers. In fact, rabbits are the third most

frequently euthanized animals at shelters behind cats and dogs.

So, what can you do to help these remarkable, sentient, vegan animals?

Join us! We are the San/ Francisco/ Marin County Chapter of House Rabbit

Society, an international nonprofit rescue group dedicated to the 11th hour

rescue

of domestic rabbits from shelters. We rescue, spay/ neuter, rehabilitate (if

needed) and then adopt to safe, loving indoor homes.

We need reliable, compassionate, and motivated volunteers to assist with

socializing, grooming the rabbits and cleaning their little homes.

Your love and assistance with their care, improves their quality of life and

optimizes their chances of being adopted more quickly. Then, when a rabbit

gets adopted from here, we take in the next rabbit from the shelter. So many

more

rabbits can be saved with your help.

We also need help with grant writing, legal research, marketing,

PR,----however you'd like to help, we can find a way!

Flexible times are available and training is provided. for caring for the

rabbits

On behalf of the animals, we thank you!
