While there is a vibrant veg community in the broader Bay Area, it would be great to get more regular activity here on the coast. To get this from concept to actual events, I am inviting you to join me and Chris for a coffee get-together in Pacifica on Thursday, 1/8, at Starbuck's at Linda Mar at 7 pm. Please bring a veg book or magazine to help us recognize each other, and RSVPs would be awesome so we know whom to expect and can get appropriate seating. Also, I realize the coastside is a broad area and some of you may think Pacifica is too far; my hope is that once we find out where the active/interested folks are, we can have different get-togethers in different areas. I am hoping that our intial get-together can be used as an opportunity to brainstorm about activities that we would like to see here on the coast (vegan food parties, book club, cooking classes or get-togethers, vegetarian dining on the Coast, veg family/kids gatherings, etc). So, if you are excited and interested about having more veg coastsider activities, here are 3 things you can do to help it succeed: 1) Join us on Jan 8th and bring your ideas! 2) If you can't make it on 1/8, email us with your ideas instead! 3) Tell your veg or veg-interested family & friends about the Jan 8th get-together (forwarding this email works great!)
