New vegan breakfast option in the Castro!

A new bagel shop opened a few months ago in the Castro - Bagel

Brothers, on Castro Street between Market and 18th streets. I hadn't

had a chance to stop by until last week. I ordered a poppyseed bagel,

intending to take it home and apply some Earth Balance. But as I was

walking out, I saw a sign for... vegan bagel spreads!

 

Well, I turned right back around and asked for some " Garlic Dill "

spread to be applied to my bagel. Glad that I did! Great mixture of

flavors, and the consistency was really smooth and good.

 

Their other vegan spread options are " Sundried Tomato Basil " and

" Vanilla Tofu " . However, I haven't tried them yet. I've meant to, but

every time I somehow walk out with another Garlic Dill bagel... :-)

 

They have several non-vegan spread options of course, and I can't vouch

for the veganness of all their bagels - the staff has been very busy

when I have been there, so I didn't want to bother them too much (plus,

it would delay my bagel!)

 

They also have tables and chairs, and it's a nice place to hang out in

the morning or early afternoon and savor some Garlic Dill Vegan bagel

spread!
