Guest guest
Vegan Indian food lovers join us in repeating an outing from a few months ago where a fine vegan meal was enjoyed by all. Space is limited to 12-14 people and RSVP's are required for this event. There are now 9-11 openings remaining. New Ganges fans and Bay Area Vegetarian listmembers Bob and Sybella are hosting this event. Where: New Ganges Restaurant, 775 Frederick St., San Francisco, @ the corner of Arguello and Lincoln. When: Sunday December 7, 2003 at 6PMWhat: Vegan Indian four course meal. The owner has promised us a four course meal for our desired price, including vegan desserts. Price will be in the $16-17 range for a shared meal. The restaurant is relatively small, so party size will be limited. Attention will be paid to diners' wishes as to mild, medium, or hot--if group's desires are split in that regard, so will the plates. The relatively new owner of this all vegetarian restaurant he has no connection to prior ownership/management of Ganges of the past in the same location) is very vegan-friendly and accommodating, and wants to introduce himself and his restaurant to the veg community. He stresses that all food is fresh, nothing frozen, will take back any dish that does not meet the diner's satisfaction. I have had three excellent meals there so far. The interior is pleasant, though nothing fancy, however cloth napkins are standard, and service is excellent. If you like walking as I do, you can walk from Embarcadero BART in an hour and half. However, plenty of other options are available, including an easy ride on the N Judah, getting off at UCSF Med Center, walking down 2nd Ave. a few short blocks to Lincoln, turning right and going another couple of blocks to Frederick near Arguello and Lincoln. RSVP's required by cutoff date of Friday 12/5/03 at 6PM.See you there!Bob Gotch Free Pop-Up Blocker - Get it now
