Guest guest
> Veganism is a definite stance committed individuals take that > says, in a nutshell, " all life is sacred. " (not just those creatures > that supposedly can or cannot feel pain.) " Life " includes plants and while many of us might find plants sacred, vegans are not opposed to eating them (most of the time). The line between the animal kingdom and other kingdoms (plants, fungi, protists) is a morally arbitrary line, much more so than is " capable of feeling pain. " In fact, I have yet to hear of a vegan who is opposed to killing, or washing themselves with the dead bodies of, sponges even though they are animals. So, I think defining " vegan " as someone who avoids consuming products of feeling creatures is a valid definition. Jack
