Captain Paul Watson, Pioneer of Direct-Action Environmentalism, to Speak at

Bay Area Patagonia Locations November 17 and 18. Both Events are Free!

 

 

 

Captain Paul Watson, founder and president of the Sea Shepherd Conservation

Society, will be speaking at both the San Francisco and Santa Cruz Patagonia

locations regarding the urgent state of the world’s oceans and his 30 years of

efforts to stop illegal slaughter on the high seas.

 

 

 

The San Francisco event is on Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, 7:00pm, at Patagonia San

Francisco 770 North Point, San Francisco 94109. (415) 771-2050.

Event is free to the public to room capacity.

 

The Santa Cruz event is on Tuesday, Nov 18, 2003, 7:00pm at Patagonia Santa

Cruz 415 River St. #C, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. (831-423-1776).

Paul Watson

 

One of the pioneers of the direct-action conservation movement, Captain

Watson co-founded Greenpeace in the early 1970’s and has led numerous,

successful

Sea Shepherd conservation campaigns around the world since founded in 1977. He

is also a current Sierra Club national director.

 

 

 

A prolific writer, Captain Watson has published hundreds of articles and

reports about the plight of the oceans and has authored several critically

acclaimed books including “Ocean Warrior†and the recently released “Seal

Wars.â€

He will be signing his books after the presentations.
