Guest guest
(Updated notice: I had the details mis-matched on Orinda and Oakland in my previous email.. OOPS..) Hi folks! First off, a big thank you to our local folks, Brenda and Brian, Kim, Robin and Michelle, Lori and Jordan, who have so kindly volunteered to host " Thanksgiving/Save the Turkey/Community " dinners! Details for the dinners, and contact info for the organizers are now available on our Events calendar at http://www.BayAreaVeg.org/events.php Here's a summary of the events, all on 11/27 Thanksgiving day: Campbell - 4 pm - Host: Robin and Michelle Save the Turkey Day! Oakland - 2 pm - Host: Jordan and KookNotCook Turkey Liberation Day Orinda - 4 pm - Host: Brenda & Brian Thanksgiving Mountain View - 4 to 8 pm - Host: Lori Community Vegan Gratitude Dinner San Francisco - 2 to 5 pm - Host: Kim and Jamie Thanksgiving These all sound like wonderful events! Our goal in having multiple events throughout the Bay Area was to match the geographic diversity of our membership. This roughly correlates to the poll results. So, if you are interested in sharing vegan food, fellowship and fun on Thanksgiving, please contact the host(s) directly. You can find contact details and other more information on http://www.BayAreaVeg.org/events.php Last year I used the recipes from Colleen's Thanksgiving cooking class.. http://www.generationv.org/cc/class_0211.htm -- I'm not sure what I'll cooking this year. What are other folks doing? Cheers, Tammy Bay Area Vegetarians....
