Hi all,

I live in a two duplex (four units total) cluster of

homes and one of them is coming up for rent. I

thought I'd post here in the hopes of finding a

veg-friendly neighbor! It's in the Laurel District of

Oakland, near 35th and MacArthur. The neighborhood is

safe and friendly and a bus to SF is two blocks away.

A natural food store is also a couple blocks away.

The duplexes are set up in an " L " shape, with two

one-bedrooms making up the shorter section and two

two-bedrooms making up the longer section. We all

share a decent size yard. Cats, small dogs and other

companion creatures are welcome. The unit is two

story, with the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs; it has

an eat-in kitchen with an old stove and new fridge.

You also get a good sized garage and laundry room with

washer and dryer. Currently the yard isn't used much

except to hang laundry, but there is space for a

garden and we will be building a turtle enclosure in

the spring (for our rescued box turtle, Jebediah). My

partner and I are both vegan and are currently the

only veggies. All of the residents are active in

feral cat rescue, though! I think the landlord is

asking $1500, but you could definitely offer less and

he'd most likely take it. Please email me if you're

interested and I'll pass your name and number to my

landlord.
