Guest guest Posted October 21, 2003 Report Share Posted October 21, 2003 Just wanted to pass along this terrific feedback that we got from the owner of Maggie Mudd (www.maggiemudd.com), an ice cream parlor that serves vegan ice cream (in addition to dairy) and delicious vegan ice cream cakes. They recently saw or heard that they were featured as the " restaurant of the week " in a Freedom for Animals' enewsletter (www.freedom4animals.org) and, recognizing the demand for vegan products, are expanding their offerings! Goes to show that businesses will supply products that people demand (or politely request:o) Nora Hello, I am writing to you from MaggieMudd, and I just wanted to thank you for your kinds words in your " Restaurant of the Week " listing for October 15. We were all very excited to hear that the vegan community enjoyed our home made treats so much. Because the reception has been so good, we are introducing new vegan products as quickly as we can develop them. We were just recently able to make a completely vegan Rocky Road and we will soon be introducing vegan home made waffle cones. We've also started to introduce other types of base ingredients other than soy, for example, almond and hazelnut milk and coconut milk. Thus, you'll notice some fairly intense nutty flavors if you are able to sample our Almond or Hazelnut vegan ice creams, or Toasty Coconut. We're hoping we can offer newer and better flavors than any other place you've tried by focusing on the natural flavors of vegan base ingredients. Thanks again. If you have any suggestions or recommendations, please let me know. We're always looking for new ideas.
