Guest guest
Please join over 70 walkers raising money for Farm Sanctuary and raising awareness about the treatment of non-human animals raised and killed for human consumption. Many people registered in advance to collect pledges, but anyone is welcome to just show up on Saturday and pay $10 to Walk for Farm Animals. There may even be extra T-shirts! These annual walks actually helped fund Farm Sanctuary's purchase of their New York property 17 years ago in order to provide lifelong sanctuary to animals who have been abused, neglected, and most importantly, RESCUED! WHEN: Saturday October 18th; Registration: 11:30 Walk: 12 noon WHERE: Next to Splash Pad Park -- across from the Grand Lake Theatre on Grand and Lakeside in Oakland WHAT TO WEAR: Just bring your walkin' shoes and $10 -- and some water, although we will have refreshments.
