fossil fuels & meat production

Hi All,

 

I've read several conflicting statements, all without references, about the

relationship between the use of fossil fuels and meat production in the U.S.

The statements range from meat production accounting for 10% of total fossil

fuel use all the way to 60%. Big difference! Can anyone point me to reliable

figures, with references?
