Prema Mayii (Spin Shakti Fire) Donation $ 5-20 will support UAS development Vision The vision of the Urban Village Alliance is to transform the city into a harmonious social, economic, and natural environment. We will do this by creating convergence centers where people will become inspired, involved, and employed. These centers will propagate the culture of cooperation, service and self-sufficiency. Worker-owned cooperative economic centers will pool resources and share vibrant, democratic workplaces were members can enjoy their work while earning a living wage. Cultural centers will create space for the community to gather and exchange ideas, education, arts, music, dance, etc. Housing cooperatives will provide affordable home ownership. The development of these centers will reflect a primary sensitivity to environmental concerns with a focus on self-sufficiency. Food will be grown wherever possible. There will be a maximum utilization of all available resources to benefit social, environmental, and economic elements. Eco Industrial Park The first convergence center project of UVA is to establish an ecologically sound industrial park. This facility will house production facilities for craftsmen, studio space for artists, office space for green businesses and non-profits, cafe/community meeting space, and retail space where goods can be sold directly to the public. The facility itself will be retrofitted to be as environmentally efficient as possible. We will use techniques such as solar, wind and fuel cell power, rain water collection, gray water recycling, and organic gardening. By pooling resources, businesses will have lower overhead, increased visibility and advertising power. This Park will serve as a progressive model for socio-economic development and will create a buzz that will attract people to come to it as a destination. It will become a hot spot for cross pollination of creative ideas and progressive community development. We are looking for: supportive community members, volunteers, business partners, and investors. signature: http://www.bayareaveg.org / http://www.vegdining.com http://www.sfvs.org Living Foods: SFLivingFoods/ due to my high amount of emails, I am unable to answer everyone's emails on vegetarian questions.
