Guest guest
I need to adopt out a beautiful, loving male Golden Retriever / German Shepherd mix. I'm also looking for any referrals or advice in this situation. It's a complete heartbreaker for me. Kola's general profile: - Very loving, happy, big golden dog - Approximately 13 years old - His goal in life is to protect people he lives with, so he barks at postal workers and any other visitor (until he learns they are friends) - an inside dog (he'll literally chew through a gate if he's made to stay outside) - shouldn't live with cats (as I've discovered) - growls at small children crawling near him (as I've also discovered) - needs 2-3 walks a day, plus pee breaks (like any dog) - losing control of his back legs, though he can still walk and run - very warm and friendly, low energy We only recently adopted Kola from my mother-in-law and I'm so upset that we need to find a new home for him. He has attacked one of our cats repeatedly, making the cat (who has a heart condition) extremely fearful. (Even if heart condition didn't exist, I would still be very concerned about the cat's welfare.) If you have room for an older dog with a huge heart and great protective instincts, please contact me. I live in Martinez (East Bay). Thanks, ~Caity Caity McCardell www.caityandstefan.com Love animals? Please don't eat them, wear them, experiment on them, or cage them.
