Humane rat trap

Hello,

 

I contacted PETA not too long ago about the same problem. They told me that

one very effective trap (that cost very little) was to get an old garbage can,

five gallon pail or any tallish container and put some oatmeal mixed with

peanut butter into the bottom of it. Lean a two by four type of board against

the

outside of it. The rats will jump in to get the food, but won't be able to

climb up the smooth inside surface to get out. Also, check it very frequently so

the rats don't suffer or get dehydrated.
