Guest guest
I believe I have seen this place for many months, directly across the road from Vista College's Multimedia Center (where I am a student). It is near the corner of Shattuck ('Ross Dress for Less' rules that corner). It has always been closed, but a 'coming soon' sign was always outside. That is all I can say. I'll be at school tomorrow, so I could look inside if they are open now. I had no idea they would be vegetarian. tony On Wednesday, September 17, 2003, at 09:32 PM, Tammy wrote: > I saw a post on Craigslist asking for help for a new veg restaurant in > downtown Berkeley! > > Berkeley people, what is the scoop? :-) > > Cheers, > Tammy > > http://www.craigslist.org/ret/15380135.html > > HOT NEW ITALIAN VEGETARIAN BAR.RISTORANTE RAPHAEL IN DOWNTOWN BERKELY > NEEDS > MANAGER, WAITSTAFF, AND BARTENDERS. Arya N Adam
I would like to suggest a fine dining experience with the members of this forum, Happy and Healthy dining experience with Best Indian Restaurant Viceroy Indian Restaurant is located in Downtown Berkeley, very close to the UC Berkeley Campus. They are conveniently located at the intersection of Shattuck Square and University Ave, very close to the Downtown BART station. Viceroy offers Online food ordering for take-out/pick-up and delivery all over the Bay Area. This place has been buzzing since day one, and it looks like it will be a new and successful venue for downtown Berkeley. The space is beautifully designed, with reclaimed wood and hard and shiny surfaces — unfortunately this translates into lots of noise when the crowds are there. There’s an open kitchen where you can watch a team of at least eight cooks orchestrating your meal. The large service staff is speedy, informed, and personable — you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The food is inspired by Indian, Chinese and America, with a large number of small plates, all moderately priced, and a few more pricey larger plates. Everything is quite delicious with a wonderful freshness of flavors. The chips and guacamole are a terrific way to begin your meal. If you do not want to sit at the counter top community table, reservations are definitely recommended.
