tibetan food in SF

i just thought i'd encourage everyone to support the tibetan restaurant

Lhasa Moon - one of my favorite restaurants in san francisco.

 

although tibetan culture is traditionally not vegetarian, the chef and

owner, Tsering Wangmo, has adapted many traditional dishes to be

cooked as vegetarian or vegan. their vegetarian section is quite

extensive, with numerous choices - many of them are vegan.

 

she even has her own cookbook, available for sale at the restaurant.

and, with only 5 or 6 other tibetan restaurants in the country, it's

a rare treat to experience tibetan cuisine as a vegetarian.

 

they're located in the marina, and even on weekend nights, it's easy

to get a table.
