Guest guest
Berkeley Organization for Animal Advocacy (BOAA) is planning a campus (UC > Berkeley) event for World Vegetarian Day. To raise awareness about fun & > yummy vegan food, we'd like to give away veggie dogs. But we're not sure > which brand to use. Any preferences out there? > Also, if anyone can recommend a good vegan hot dog bun--preferably NON-whole > wheat or whole grain--we'd appreciate it. Our favorite brand is Yves' Good Dog. Don't give out their low-fat hot dogs - they're not as good, and we want the meat-eating public to see that veggie food tastes good. The only vegan buns that I've found in the area (which are organic) are Rudi's Bakery. They have white buns which are great tasting. Whole Foods carries the whole wheat ones but I'm sure that you could ask them to order a large order for the white buns. I'm sure there are regular brands found at Safeway, etc. that are vegan but since I only buy organic food, I'm not sure about them. Cheers!
