The audience will have an opportunity to join in the discussion which will be around global issues such as militarism; corporatization; social justice and environmental struggles; grass roots activism; how they are related to each other and relevant to our daily lives. Panelists: Julia Butterfly Hill / Author and Activist Michael Franti / Musician, Human Rights Worker, PTTP Producer Van Jones / Human Rights Activist, Ella Baker Center for Human Rights Gloria La Riva / Social Justice Activist, Int'l A.N.S.W.E.R, Campaign to Free The Cuban 5 6 pm Activism Fair, in the New College Cultural Center With many non-profits represented and offering ways to get informed and involved Plus " Guerilla Puppetry " by Cell Space puppeteers Dave Morley, Jonathon Yute & friends 8 pm Panel Discussion in the New College Theater And, a special performance by Michael Franti Venue: New College of California Fair: Cultural Center 766 Valencia St. Forum: Theater 777 Valencia St. ****Tickets for the speaker forum available at the activism fair in the Cultural Center at the Circle of Life table.
