Guest guest
from PETA's circus campaign coordinator, Lisa Franzetta: Dear Activist, PETA’s protest against the cruel treatment of animals forced to perform in the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus has been rescheduled. Please join us and speak out on behalf of the animals who spend their lives kept in cages, forced to perform silly tricks and deprived of all that is natural to them. Our rescheduled protest will take place in San Francisco on Friday, August 22nd at the intersection of Market St. and Powell St., from 12 noon sharp to 1:00pm. If you’d like any more information, please feel free to e-mail me at LisaF, or phone me at 757-622-7382, ext. 1546. We hope you can join us. For more information about how animals suffer in circuses, please visit our web site www.circuses.com. Thank you for all you do for animals. Guest guest
I've recently been contemplating going to a circus (at a time when no anti-circus protest is going on) and handing out Why Vegans, especially to the teenagers, to see how the crowd reacts. They probably like animals (though don't understand how they suffer in the circus) to some extent or they wouldn't be going to it. If anyone feels like testing this out, please do so and let us know how it goes. I guess they should be coming to Sacramento (where I live) soon, and I will get my chance to try it.
