Guest guest
Hi all, I wanted to let folks know that Bay Area Vegetarians had a wonderful dinner at Golden Era last week on Wednesday. Despite or because of the 5 pm start time, we had 15 people at our dinner. We shared conversation, comrarderie, and community over excellent vegan dishes. While most folks lived in San Francisco or were Bay Area residents, we also had a special guest from Belgium. He reported that they do not have restaurants serving the caliber of Golden Era's mock meats. We had 2 tables at the restaurant. At my table, I had two different people ask me " What's the next event you're planning? " The short-term answer is " Brunch at Herbivore's on 8/24 " . The long-term answer is more complex... In our own way, we all need to be leaders and organizers to build a strong organization, and nurture a vibrant veg community. Bay Area Vegetarians is the sum of all of our individual efforts -- hosting an event, doing outreach, etc. So what can YOU do for your veg community? Cheers, Tammy P.S: For anyone thinking of the aforementioned brunch on Sunday the 24th -- we already have 19 folks total, and I think we should cap it at 20... we want to leave some room in the restaurant for other folks to enjoy the yummy vegan crepes, french toast, or tofu scramble. So email me if you want to be #20. Bay Area Vegetarians....
