All,

I'd like to suggest another forum: Anger Management. And I'll be the first to

post. The suffering is so great, the progress is so slow, the indifference is so

overwhelming. I often don't know what to do with my anger.

I have been told repeatedly that the most effective way to influence behavior is

the calm and reasonable approach. OK. I try. And as I am listening politely to

the other point of view, I know that every second of every day there is

horrible, unnecessary pain inflicted on helpless, innocent animals.

I really, truly think it would be a very great service to all of those who work

for animals to have a place to put aside the calm and reasonable demeanor and

just let it all out. I personally have many years' worth of comments that I have

left unsaid, but which have not been forgotten.

Finally, I'd like to say that this is not joyful work. Questions of

effectiveness to one side, my heart goes out to the deeply committed,

frustrated, over-extended individuals who are pouring themselves out to make the

suffering stop.

Green love,

Ron (aka Gruenwelt)
