PETA Ringling Demonstration in San Francisco

 

 

Hello, this is Lisa at PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals,

and I’m writing to invite you to join us at one or both of our upcoming

protest against Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, which will be

doing shows in Oakland, San Francisco, and San Jose in the upcoming weeks.

PETA will be in town before the circus arrives to bring attention to the

suffering of “performing” animals and to discourage people from attending

the Ringling shows.

 

 

 

Our protest will take place in San Francisco on Friday, August 15th at the

intersection of Market St. and Powell St., from 12 noon sharp to 1:00pm. We’

ll have banners and posters for you to hold and leaflets for you to

distribute…all you need to bring is yourself, and please plan to arrive

about 10 minutes early. We hope to have a great turnout of people speaking

out for the animals abused and exploited by Ringling. If you’d like any more
