Meeting for Animals with HSUS' John Goodwin

John Goodwin, Grassroots Coordinator of the Humane Society of the US, will be in

town next week and would love to get together with animal activists in the bay

area to talk about some significant steps animal activists can take to help

animals by way of getting Rep. Richard Pombo -- an enemy of the animals -- out

of the 11th Congressional District.

 

This district is represented by Rep. Richard Pombo. He is chair of the House

Resources committee and is also a leader in the Sustainable Use Parliamentarians

Union, and anti-animal organization that represents

hunting and trapping interests. This is the map of the Congressional district

He doesn't expect it will take very long -- perhaps a meeting of an hour or so.

He will be in Oakland on August 13th and looks forward to meeting some activists

around 8:00 p.m. that night. If you are interested, please contact John at

me, but it would be a shame for him to come here and not meet with any of the

awesome activists in our area.)

 

Protecting animals through legislation is key. I encourage you to meet with
