veg*ns in modesto?

Hi all,

 

I'll be working a one month contract in Modesto and I

was wondering two things:

 

1) is anyone on the list live in or know of a veg*n in

or around Modesto that could show me around, i.e.

health food stores, restaurants, night-life, hiking

trails, etc?

 

2) anyone in the area willing to provide a room for a

night or two to save me on some hotel expenses? I

don't want to impose on anyone for much longer than

that but just two nights would save me about $100.

 

I'll also take Stockton, Merced, Tracy, Oakdale, or

anything in between. I'd also be happy with money

saving tips like if the colleges can rent out dorm

rooms or some such.
