(Your check is in the mail, guys!) Freedom for Animals is a local Bay Area-based grassroots animal advocacy group dedicated to promoting a compassionate lifestyle in order to minimize the suffering of all sentient beings. Our main campaigns include promoting a vegan diet and educating people about the cruelty of fur. Stephanie, since you were most interested in fur, we leaflet outside Neiman Marcus (aka Neiman Carcass) to urge them to stop selling real fur every Sunday, rain or shine, from 2-4pm. (Neimans is a department store trend-setter, and if they switch to selling only fake fur, other stores will surely follow, which would contribute to the downfall of the fur industry.) We are all volunteers and are always looking for more people to get involved in one way or another.
