Guest guest Posted July 22, 2003 Report Share Posted July 22, 2003 Hello Bay Area Vegetarians, Just in case you haven't heard yet, one week ago this evening Alka was riding her bike home from PETA when she was accidentally run off the road by a Jeep. She toppled over the handle bars of her bike, broke her right arm, and severed bruised her left upper arm. She can't lift either arm above her shoulders. I've spoken with Alka and she's doing fine. The fall hasn't broken her sense of humor. Still, I'm sure she could use some sympathy, <AlkaC. She is limited in her ability to type ... so, if you send her an email, please be patient as she might not be able to get back to you right away. In true Alka fashion, she was back at work the very next day, and somehow, even though she could use her arms, was baking two cakes for an employee fundraiser! We should all be thankful that Alka's injuries weren't more serious.
