New Ganges--I recommend this Indian vegetarian and vegan friendly restaurant in SF

I had a very good meal at New Ganges last night, located at 775 Frederick St. in

San Francisco. The owner is vegetarian, knows and understands veganism, and is

very accomodating in putting together a tasty meal to your own liking, including

your desire for mild to hot flavoring. The interior is nothing fancy, similar

to the old Ganges, but it is clean and neat. While dairy dishes are included on

the menu, many of the standards are available as vegan meals.

Aftab, the owner, made a real effort to make us feel welcome and find out about

our food likes and dislikes.

I would definitely make a return visit, and will consider hosting an

group there. (right after I get those details completed for one at New World

Vegetarian in Oakland!)
