Guest guest
This was my first raw fest. I enjoyed Fred Bisci's intensive on Thursday. I signed up for Jameth Sheridan's intensive, but got switched to Fred's because Jameth couldn't make it that day. There was very little food on Thursday. Made a run to the Wild Oats store in Hillsdale for food. Still not much food until afternoon Friday, and then not a good selection. Yes it was fairly dusty and the site is right next to the Hillsboro airport. While listening to Jameth Sheridan in Tent 1, helicopters regularly passed directly over the tent at very low elevation, which was rather irritating. I did stay in the hotel and it was great to walk out the back door and be at the festival, but overall I don't think it was a great site. Jameth's brother, Rick Dina, held a class explaining in detail how essential fatty acids work, which was quite interesting. I was a little miffed that one of the main presenters stated that he would rather see people eating raw meat than eating grain. He was quite adamant that if you are eating any type of grain that you are supporting the cattle industry. The logic?? We pay inflated prices for grains that make it possible for the cattle industry to buy cheap grain to feed their animals. Sorry. I can't buy into that.
