Guest guest
Does anyone have a favorite holistic veterinarian in the area? My Corgi is having trouble getting up on his favorite couch and he's itching something fierce. He's 99.9% raw, the other 1% consists of cat poo he finds on our walks!! He's only 5 and has not been vaccinated, but has had regular chiropractic care and they can't seem to help him right now. If not a vet how about a animal communicator. Thanks, Shari in Everett
Guest guest
Hi Shari, There is no information to be found on this topic in the 'alternative' animal care literature, but I have used fasting to help animals recover from symptoms. I wrote an essay about this that I can send you if you'd like (it will run in the next Living Nutrition magazine, but that doesn't come out till October). A holistic vet won't help, at best s/he will make the symptoms go away without addressing the cause, which is most likely imbalances in the diet. It's not enough to just feed raw, we have to take pains to replicate what our animals would eat in the wild. Needless to say, this would not include supplements, oils, dairy, grains, and other foods/substances that are commonly fed to otherwise raw animals. I can consult with you to tweak your Corgi's diet if you're interested. I'm cheaper than an animal communicator or a vet, and my methods are far more likely to actually work. Feel free to contact me off list. Good luck, Shari. Guest guest
Shari, In addition to practicing Bowenwork upon people, years ago I learned Equine Muscle Release Therapy which is the technique brought to horses. This has been easily transfered to the animal kingdom. Animals respond well to the work. I know of one who even works on birds. With horses, both rider and horse are treated for best results. I also have two referals for animal correspondence. Vicki Allinson also practices Bowenwork on small animals and is available by surrogate (you're here, she's there,) eml kitmans, #928.445.3939, c.928.710.6062. Martha Norwalk is a pet communicator also, though not a body worker, and I believe she can work either here or there, #360.793.0206. Bowenworks very well with animals, I support Vicki, though I have never known any of her clients. Martha was made known to me by a friend who used her services, then whom I previously referred and they have received the desired results. My number is 206.324.8934, aikneada. - Shari Viger Undisclosed-Recipient:; Tuesday, August 24, 2004 6:02 AM [RawSeattle] vets/animal communicator Does anyone have a favorite holistic veterinarian in the area?
