Hi everyone,

 

I attended my first Raw Seattle potluck in Linclon Park today and

had a very nice time. I'm 57 and have wavered between being 50-80%

raw since I became vegan in 1980. I'm looking forward to attending

the Raw Festival in Portland in 3 weeks. I'll be driving down and

could take a couple of riders, but I don't know for sure yet when I

will be leaving and returning. Most likely I will leave Wednesday

or Thursday evening and I'll be staying at the Red Lion Hillsboro,

which is supposed to be just across the way from the festival site.

There doesn't seem to be any camping allowed on the grounds this

year. Think I would just as soon splurge on the hotel anyway, since

I'll be on vacation that week and will probably be sleeping in a

tent at the ocean for a few days early that week. If anyone needs a

ride and the timing works out, you can email me direct at

I'll look forward to meeting more of you at other potlucks I'm

sure. I've known Nora Lenz since the early 90's but haven't seen

her for quite some time. I got a chance to look at your new

website, Nora. Pretty impressive.

 

I have Friday-Sunday off each weekend and like to get out and do

some hiking. I usually don't go farther than about 6-10 miles round

trip, but sometimes do the more difficult hikes with 2500-4000 ft

elevation gain. I really wouldn't mind doing something easier also,

as long as it gets the heart pumping a bit. Anybody interested,

drop me a line at ardee8ch. I live about 2 miles away

from the Burke-Gilman trail in Lake Forest Park (north end of Lake

Washington).
