Guest guest
> Congratulations Kevin! I know it hasn't been easy, but I'm so glad you are seeing results! I was hoping you would be at the potluck last Saturday so I could congratulate you publicly! This forum will do. :-) Keep us posted puleeze. Also, Mark--- it is wonderful that you two are embarking on your own program and it would be wonderful if you would keep the rest of us informed on how it is going for you. You have my support. You know, after the Brother Naz controversial literature was published, I heard how the Olympia raw food group got " real honest " with each other. They were not talking about some of the physical issues they were having, and sweeping them under the rug with statements like, " Oh, I'm just detoxing. " Now, they have honestly shared with each other their various situations and it has opened up a whole new level of sharing for them. I agree with Norm, in that we each need to seek our own raw food path...one size doesn't necessarily fit all. I've been experiementing with adding much more protein in my diet, through an awesome product called Living Fuel (raw) at www.livingfuel.com and some cooked options like eggs, soy and an ocassional smoked Alaska (cleaner?) Salmon piece. (1 oz) I'm also experimenting with cooked Amaranth and Quinoa. Cooked beans didn't work out well for me. No dairy, pasta, or bread, or highly heated oils at this time. Large salads are still in my diet. I have a beautiful living salad in my back yard, with sprouts on my window sill. My refrigerator and hanging baskets are overflowing with luscious fruit, berries, and watermelon. My fatigue is going away, and other symptoms. I'm happy, for the moment, with eating raw as my centerpiece, with other options 'on the side'. Anywhere from 75-95% raw is working for me right now. With all this delicious fruit around, I'm moving more and more back to 100% raw. I'll keep ya posted. :-) It's all a journey, and it's not for me to judge your path.... It's ALL good, if you feel good about it. That's where I'm at, these days. Any comments or discussion for the group? Peace and blessings, Linda > Message: 15 > Tue, 29 Jun 2004 06:44:46 -0700 > " KEVIN THURBER " <aikneada > Re: Phase I > > I, myself, have resisted dropping all sugars including fruit from my nutrition because I know fruit is good. However, with a deeply entrenched candida problem, FRUIT IS BAD. Now, I am beginning my 4th week with no sugar and feel better than I've felt in years. Guest guest
Hi Linda, Since we are all being open here, I thought I would share my raw path these days. I am 100% raw and incorporate eggs and kefir (that I make from raw goat's milk). I also occasionally eat raw salmon or tuna (very rarely with the tuna). My health improved tremendously when I let go of being vegan. I haven't posted on this group much because I haven't felt like my raw diet is aligned with that of most of the people on this board. If people are willing to be open to the varied raw paths available, I think that would be wonderful. Thanks for sharing Linda. Sounds like you are doing a great job with your health. Blessings, Shawna RawSeattle , " Linda Reeves " <heartsong@q...> wrote: > > Congratulations Kevin! I know it hasn't been easy, but I'm so glad you are > seeing results!
