Guest guest
Let me preface this with the fact that I have been virtually 100% vegan from my teens (27 years) and virtually 100% vegetarian before that. Nazariah brought up two problems that I have related to. Although I have not had any B-12 deficiency symptoms, when being checked with kinesiology, I tested a need for both supplements containing B-12, and for essential fatty acid supplements. Now while I believe a varied vegan diet does supply all the body's nutritional needs, the body has to be able to assimilate it, or you will have deficiencies. So I would like to add that supplementation may be necessary for those individuals who cannot or have problems assimilating nutrients. Discussion pro and con is welcome.
